Emma Mashilwane is a seasoned chartered accountant and is the co-founder (majority shareholder) and CEO of MASA Risk Advisory Services Proprietary Limited. MASA is an Internal Audit and Risk Advisory Services boutique established in May 2018 and is based in Woodmead, Johannesburg.
Emma has extensive experience providing external and internal audit as well as advisory services to clients spanning financial services (including insurance), healthcare, aviation, mining, transport and logistics, real estate management sectors and state-owned entities, both in the private and the public sector. She has extensive experience leading Internal Audit and Advisory teams at various large and complex companies both in the public and private sectors including listed entities. Some of her current and previous clients include Sasol, BHP Billiton, Barloworld, Eskom, Transnet, Pareto, Vunani, Rolfes, FirstRand Group, Landbank and various Developmental Funding Institutions including National Housing Finance Corporation, National Empowerment Fund and Export Credit Insurance Corporation, to name a few.
Emma completed her articles at KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. She has previously held senior management roles across the private and public sector including the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Emma holds an MBA from the Wits Business School in addition to Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing from UJ, BCom Honours/ CTA from UKZN and BCompt from UNISA. She is a member of SAICA, IRBA, The Ethics Institute of South Africa, Institute of Directors of Southern Africa, Institute of Risk Management of South Africa, African Women Chartered Accountants and Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa.
She is currently a Non-Executive Director at Tiger Brands Limited where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk & Sustainability Committee, Famous Brands Limited where she chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Investment Committee. Emma joined the board of Capitec Bank Holdings Limited in March 2020 where she is a member of the Audit Committee after stepping down from the Murray & Roberts Limited board in March 2020. She previously served on the boards of Total Coal South Africa and Carl Zeiss Optronics.
Emma was a Finalist in the Business Women’s Association of South Africa, 2017 Gauteng Regional Business Achiever Awards (Professional Category).

Cynthia Schoeman is the Managing Director of Ethics Monitoring & Management Services (Pty) Ltd, it was started by Cynthia in 2010 to promote the proactive management of workplace ethics and to provide practical support to organisations to improve and more effectively manage their ethics. Its services and products are based on more than 16 years of research, development, lectures and workshops in the field of workplace ethics.
She strives to improve ethics in the public and private sector organisations as well as promote managing ethics proactively by building a critical mass of people who are committed to ethics and by enabling them to make a significant difference.

She designs and delivers bespoke leadership, board and entrepreneurs development programmes. Msomi was awarded the 2013 Laureate Award by the University of Pretoria as a GIBS Alumnus to honour her outstanding contribution to the field of leadership development, strategy and governance and recognised by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the Top 30 Influential South African Business Leaders in 2018. Dudu Msomi was selected by the US Consulate in South Africa as a mentee on the FORTUNE/US State Department Global Women Leaders in 2010 and on the Cherie Blair Foundation in 2015.
Dudu Msomi has a B.A. Hons. (University of Natal, Durban); Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising and Marketing (AAA School of Advertising); Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance (RAU); Programme for Management Development (GIBS) and a Masters in Business Administration (GIBS).
Dudu Msomi is an Institute of Director’s (IOD) Fellow. Msomi is an independent non-executive on the Bankserv Africa and on Vodacom Foundation Advisory boards. Dudu chairs the Social & Ethics Committee of Bankserv Africa and is a member of the Nomination Committee. She is also on the Audit, HR and Remuneration Committees of FAIS OMBUD, Office of the Pension Fund Adjudicator (OPFA) and Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). Dudu Msomi is a Trustee on the Humulani Trust (Invicta Holdings) and a member of the GIBS MBA Alumni Bursary Committee.

More recently she has acted in an advisory capacity to partnership boards in advertising and architecture to deliver strategies that have led to improved performance, cultural change and business success.

Zoaib has over 30 years’ experience working in top companies, having worked at IBM for 22 years, where he commenced his journey as a software developer and moved through the organisation ultimately leading the Strategic Outsourcing, Software, Hardware and Public Sector business units. His tenure at IBM, which included an international assignment in the UK giving him a global perspective on business.
Having run the key business’s (Outsourcing Services, SW and HW) inside of IBM, Zoaib looked to broaden his experience outside of IBM and joined Microsoft in 2011. Before being named Microsoft MD in July 2014, Hoosen held various leadership roles in the company, including Enterprise and Partner Director and Chief Operations Officer.
During his tenure at Microsoft, he quickly became known as a leader who is passionate about preparing students for the workplace of the future and helping to create our next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders, while also being focussed on finding ways to leverage technology to build a more sustainable economy for South Africa.
Today’s world is in flux, as companies all around the globe, and within every industry and sector are undergoing tremendous change brought about by digital transformation. Hoosen led Microsoft to deliver the first hyper scale public cloud DataCentres in South Africa and the African continent. This created the momentum across industries in South Africa for companies to accelerate their digital transformation.
In Feb 2019, Hoosen stepped down as MD of Microsoft, electing to stay in South Africa instead of pursuing an international career with Microsoft. He currently holds a Non-Executive Director position on the Board of the South African Reserve Bank, serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Pretoria’s GIBS Business School and advises business’ on their digital journeys .
