Dudu Msomi is the CEO of Busara Leadership Partners is a research-orientated strategic advisory and consulting company whose expertise is to facilitate the development and effectiveness of leaders to achieve their desired goals. Msomi is a Strategist, Leadership & Life Coach, Business Advisor, a Thought-Provoking, Attitude & Behaviour Shifting Speaker and Writer. Dudu Msomi has expertise and experience in strategy workshops facilitation, strategy formulation and implementation; coaching; designing and implementing transformation programmes in companies and industry bodies; marketing; advertising; communications; human resources leadership and corporate governance. Dudu’s experience spans diverse industries such as retail, advertising, financial services, Information, Communications & Technology consulting and professional, membership services.
Dudu Msomi is a Fortune Mentee Alumni having been selected by the US Consulate in South Africa to be part of the mentoring programme with FORTUNE/US State Department Global Women Leaders, initiated by Secretary Hilary Clinton in 2010. She was awarded the 2013 Laureate Award by the University of Pretoria as a GIBS Alumnus to honour her outstanding contribution to her field of expertise. Msomi is a Cherie Blair Foundation Mentee Alumni having completed the Mentoring Women in Business Programme in June 2016. Dudu Msomi is the Institute of Directors (IoDSA) Fellow Member.
Dudu Msomi is on the board of directors of the Financial Services Board (FSB) where she is also a member of the Licensing, Litigation and Audit Committees. She is also a Trustee on the Humulani Trust (Invicta Holdings) & Member of the GIBS MBA Alumni Bursary Committee. Dudu Msomi has a B.A. (Psychology and English) & B. A.Hons. (Media) (University of Natal, Dbn); Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising and Marketing (AAA School of Advertising); Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance (RAU); Programme for Management Development (GIBS) and a Masters in Business Administration (GIBS).
Cynthia Schoeman is the Managing Director of Ethics Monitoring & Management Services Proprietary Ltd. She is a founding director of the Ethics Practitioners Association (EPA), and is a member of the IRBA’s Investigating Committee (Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors).
She has over 15 years’ experience in the field of workplace ethics and governance. She has developed practical tools and services to support the effective and proactive management of workplace ethics within organisations and consults to private and public sector organisations in this regard.
Cynthia is a published author in the area of workplace ethics, namely Ethics Can: Managing Workplace Ethics (2014), Ethics: Giving a Damn, Making a Difference (2012) and An Employee’s Guide to Workplace Ethics (2011). Cynthia’s articles are widely published in business journals and the press.
Cynthia is a regular speaker on workplace ethics at conferences and is often interviewed on TV and radio as an ethics expert. Cynthia has lectured on ethics and governance as external faculty on executive and academic programmes since 2000 at South Africa’s top business schools.
Cynthia has a BA from Unisa and an MBA from Wits Business School.
Louise Paulsen has extensive experience in the fields of Strategy, Economic Development, Localisation, Enterprise and Supplier Development, Black Economic Empowerment, contract negotiation and stakeholder relationship management. Louise has worked in both the public and private sectors as well as at SOCs.
She has also served as a Director of numerous boards and has a keen interest in the coaching and personal development of individuals through mentorship of entrepreneurs who she currently supports through volunteer activities.
Louise has a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) and Masters of Regional and City Planning (University of Cape Town) and a Postgraduate Certificate from Cambridge.
Adriaan Groenewald is the founder of The Leadership Platform. Leadership Platform is an organisation of Leadership Activists with a passion for transforming towards an EMPOWERED society – empowered individuals; empowered teams; empowered organisations – by multiplying Authentic Leaders and eradicating toxic leaders and behaviours. Mncane is the President of the Black Management Forum (BMF). He has grown through the structures of the organisation from Student Chapter to the Presidency over 24 years as a member of the BMF.
Mncane is Massbuild (Massmart) Director and Member of the Executive Committee and he is responsible for Commercial Business. He was the Supplier Development Executive at Massmart Group for over three years before joining the Massbuild Board.
He is the former CEO of the Consumer Goods Council of South Africa (CGCSA), an industry association for the retailers, manufactures and service providers. He has been the Managing Director of the Black Management Forum (BMF) for a period of three years. Prior to joining the BMF he worked for Microsoft as an Enterprise Strategy Consultant and later in a Sales Executive role within Microsoft. He was also a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He started his career at Accenture, where he worked in a number of industries both locally and internationally handling large-scale systems integrations and business solutions for a number of clients.
His leadership and stakeholder involvement includes being a Member of Faculty at Duke Corporate Education; Honorary Member of Golden Keys International Honour Society (Wits University Chapter), Member of Board of Trustees of Accenture’s Akha Trust; Non-Executive Director of the BMF Investment Company and Independent Non-executive Director of Adcorp Holdings Ltd. He is Chairman of Transformation, Social and Ethics Committee at Adcorp Holdings Ltd. Mncane’s career span is across a number of industries which includes Retail, Transport, Industrial Products, Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Information Technology and the Government.
